Origin
The lines of the Midget 31' have been derived from the classical form
of the fishingboats from Lynaes, situated on the northcoast of the Danish
island Seeland. For centuries this hullform is considered as ideal for
fishingboats in the often rough waters of the Kattegat.
Concept
The Midget 31' is the bigger version of the successful Midget 26'. She
is a traditional styled ship on which several people can stay in a comfortable
way for a longer period. According to the European CE directives the
ship is classified in category "A". Category "A" means: "Designed
for longer voyages in which the windforce can exceed Bf 8 and the characteristic
waveheight can be more than 4 meters".
Standard version
The standard version of the Midget 31' is a complete sailingyacht with a sleeping capacity for 6 people. The interior lay-out comprises a roomy saloon with a U-shaped sofa, double berths in two separated cabins aft, a galley and a toilet. Standard are the anchorwinch, the pressurized freshwatersystem, solidteak cockpit benches and grating, stove, oven and heatingsystem. A comprehensive description is available as a separate brochure and can be requested.
